This position is responsible for assisting the Architect and Project Manager in project planning, drawing layout, project design, and communicating client needs to design work.

• Provide computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and documents derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, prints and sketches.

• Utilize CAD software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings.

• Coordinate and consult with engineers or designers, and clients to complete projects from initial drafts to final construction documents.

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD/BIM designs.

• Work both independently and collaboratively.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in computer aided drafting techniques for architectural drafting, and knowledge of BIM software.

  • Autodesk AutoCad

  • Autodesk Revit

  • Sketchup or 3dsMax presentation software.

• Ability to report and recognize safety hazards on construction or client site.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Certificate of completion of computer aided drafting course for Architectural Drafting from Technology Center, Associates Degree or equivalent on the job training with Architectural Firm.

• Minimum of combined five years of experience with an Architectural firm in Architectural drafting or design work.
